What does HASA do for the school?

HASA does SO much for the teachers, staff, student clubs, and students!

For Students

  • Returns Book Fair profits to the school in the form of books

  • Installed water bottle filler/drinking fountain in gym

  • Raised money for new robot for robotics league

  • Purchase of lanyards for student masks $4500

  • Provides money for fine arts experiences for students (plays and symphony at LSSU, etc.) Provides money for special events such as mobile planetarium, petting zoo, etc.

  • Provides money to the First Lego League, and First Tech Challenge Robotics Clubs

  • Sponsors & coordinates the trip to Big Bear during Catholic Schools Week

  • Sponsors & coordinates a potluck for staff during Catholic Schools Week

  • Sponsors & coordinates the Talent Show and associated potluck

  • Provides money to the student cooking classes

  • Provides money for the Christmas Program

  • Provides money to the Seek Ye First student service group

  • Provides money for God Squad’s end of year lunch

For Teachers

  • Provides a Teacher Retention Bonus for returning teachers

  • Has donated $25,000 to the Faculty Endowment Fund, and hopes to give more

  • Provides $750 annually to each Classroom for Classroom allowance and field trips

  • Provides $200 annually to the foreign language classes

  • Purchased a document camera for 3rd grade

  • Purchased a projector

  • Provides gifts for Teacher Appreciation Week

  • Provides a potluck for staff during Teacher Appreciation Week

  • In 2018, 2019 – $5220 was used for computers for the teachers

  • Purchase of microphone system

Events

  • Sponsors & coordinates the school’s 4th of July parade float

  • Sponsors & coordinates the Proverbial Fun Run

  • Sponsors & coordinates the Back to School BBQ

  • Sponsors & coordinates Staff Gifts and lunch on first work day

  • Sponsors & coordinates the Boohoo/Yahoo coffee event on the first day of school.

  • Sponsors the Mother-Son Hootenanny

  • Sponsors & coordinates the Mom2Mom sale

  • Sponsors & coordinates the Kentucky Derby Party which raises the money for the Teacher Retention Bonus

  • Staffs the family picnic portion of field day, and provides the pizzas

  • Sponsors & coordinates Bingos (profits of one are given to the 7th & 8th grade trip)

  • Sponsors & coordinates the school’s Christmas Parade float

  • Sponsors & coordinates the Student Christmas Store

  • Sponsors & coordinates the Father-Daughter Dance
