Fourth Grade

BETH WALSH, FOURTH GRADE TEACHER
Bio: Ms. Walsh is excited to be teaching 4th grade at St. Mary’s this year. She has a Bachelor of Science in History, with minors in Psychology and Secondary Education from LSSU; she is currently working on her elementary teaching certification. Ms. Walsh has also been trained in Structured Linguistics with NMU.
Ms. Walsh had an entire academic year of student teaching which was split between Mount St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Sault, Ontario, and the Brimley Middle School. Her teaching experience includes two years of Title 1 at St. Mary’s, two years as a Paraprofessional in the Preschool Special Ed program at the Sault Schools, and various substitute assignments, including a long-term position at St. Mary’s School in 2001.
Ms. Walsh has a deep affection for St. Mary’s School. Her son attended SMCS from Kindergarten through 5th Grade and received a wonderful education – spiritually and academically. Ms. Walsh has seen firsthand the difference a Catholic education can make in the lives of children, and she is honored to be part of the team.
