Letter from the Principal

Hello St. Mary's parents,

I hope you had a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving break!  We are officially in the holiday season and the beginning of Advent.  Thanks be to God we've had some warmer temperatures lately.

  • The St. Mary's Christmas Store opens tomorrow!  Helpers are still needed, please see the flyer attached and consider serving to fill up your volunteer hours.  The store is located in the basement of the school in the all purpose room, and the tables look great!  There is a lot of neat stuff for students to buy and turn into beautiful Christmas presents!
  • At the next council meeting, committee chairs will be selected and recruitment for all committees will start.  Please consider serving on a committee this year, it counts towards your volunteer hours.
  • In two weeks, Dec 14, progress reports will be sent home.  There is a tentative plan for a school council meeting on that date but a confirmation of that date will be forthcoming in the next letter.
  • That same week will be our next color and popcorn day already.  It is a shorter month due to the Christmas holiday and winter break.  The Christmas break starts on Wednesday Dec 21st and runs until Jan 2.
  • The following week is our long awaited Christmas program, on Dec. 19.

May God bless you this first week in Advent, as we prepare for the coming of Jesus more into our lives and for the celebration of His birth at Christ's Mass (a.k.a. Christmas).

In Christ,
Tim Vail
